Stats from My First Facebook Event Party

I had some friends over tonight and, for the first time, I used Facebook Events to organize it. Here are the turnout stats:

Of 25 confirmed guests … 17 came and 8 did not. (68% accuracy)
Of 16 not attending… 0 came and all 16 did not. (100% accuracy rating)
Of 13 maybes… 4 came and 9 did not. (31% of maybes DID come)
Of 77 awaiting replies… 10 came and 67 did not. (15%)

Plus another 10 to 20 people not on my Facebook. The event was private, by the way, so there were no organic growth stats that I could track.

OK enough nerdery for the night :) Back to work, I have so much to do before I leave on Tuesday night.

Steak and Meat Advice

Always go for steaks that have the words “round” or “loin” in the name. These are the leanest cuts. Avoid the fatty meats with the word “rib” in the name. For us, that simply means ordering sirloin instead of prime rib. At the grocery store, choose cuts that are over 90% lean and trim any excess fat. Beef jerky is good when you’re on the run, but avoid those processed and chemical-laden deli meats, along with bologna and franks.
