Physical Energy: Fueling the Fire
From the book that got me started on a healthy lifestyle, The Power of Full Engagement: The importance of physical energy seems obvious for athletes, construction workers and farmers. Because the rest of us are evaluated more by what we do with our minds than with our bodies, we tend to discount the role that physical energy plays in performance. In most jobs, the physical body has been completely...

Frozen Vegetables - Good or Bad?
UPDATE- Thanks to Dalas and M. Feist, I now know that frozen vegetables are about as good as fresh ones. Cheers, y’all! —- I have been eating a lot of frozen broccoli. But compared to raw food, I have heard that frozen vegetables lose much of their nutritional benefits. Does anyone have hyperlink(s) to prove or disprove this? Please email me. The food would have to lose a lot of...

Just Wondering...
BTW my Tumblr can’t make up its mind if it wants to be about random stuff, or diet/nutrition/healthy living. Just wondering, but among my NYC friends… Who just bought an amazing apartment in Williamsburg, complete with 20+ foot ceilings and a VIP office? Who is being hounded by beautiful, busty women that stalk him through his Tumblr and send swimsuit pics before their first dates?...

ExecuJet has obtained exclusive rights to use Dübendorf Airport, a military facility located northeast of Zurich, due to parking and slot restrictions at Zurich Airport. As an alternate, ExecuJet is also recommending that its clients use St....

Dance Class Thoughts
These are notes I just wrote down about my Adult Intensive Workshop at STREB. See a video of the company on YouTube. Here go my notes.  When I arrived this morning at the studio, Matt was already there (I got Matt to join the class; he told me about the studio at my birthday party). “Everyone else in the class is a professional dancer.” There are 15 people in the class; 13 of them all...

Great list, via MeFi, but one quote had me thinking about Tumblr - “If you’re in a conversation and you’re not asking questions, then it’s not a conversation, it’s a monologue.”

Had a good time hanging out at Jonathan’s apartment-cum-laboratory Wednesday afternoon. Awesome space and great light. Bought some buffalo meat at Whole Foods. Now I am going to make burgers for lunch. I eat almost zero red meat - and that is bad. Because I need red meat (natural source of testosterone) to help me grow more muscles. Zach arrives back from India today. Lil’ Boyardee...

Minor Sporting and Eating Bullets
I have been riding Zach’s bike every day. My longest ride was to Costco last week (8 miles). Yesterday I had a great bike day cruising around the East Village. Over and back on the Williamsburg Bridge was great; my butt muscles are a little sore. I feel like such a badass when I am weaving through traffic. Then I see messengers pass me at stop lights and I am humbled. Lifting weights on...

Zach and Kunal stayed at Kunal’s aunt’s house in Bangalore, possibly sleeping in real beds. At 4:30pm this afternoon, the party received two female visitors. My friends (and spies) named Soup and Sauce are...

Zach Klein is in Bangalore
Our hippie backpacker has arrived in Bangalore, trading one extended family for another in this Asian Silicon Valley. I had to bribe a hotel tipster Rs100 (US$2.50) to get me the following details: ”Mr Klein is very happy to have a shower with warm water now. He has also been happy to find WiFi access in spotty locations around Bangalore. Today Klein returned from shopping with a small...
